Let us pray for the poor, hungry, and neglected that their need may inspire works of compassion and mercy among those to whom much has been given.
Quoting St Francis of Assisi: Dear God, please make us an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, help us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
For all those in harm’s way due to war, whether civilians or soldiers.
For people who are estranged from their families, that they can find a way to reconcile and love each other.
Please guide those accelerating the technology of artificial intelligence to use it for good and not destruction.
For young people, that they might look within to find a spiritual relationship with God, instead of seeking meaning through material things.
Please help us to remember that we are all children of God, so we don’t look at people who are different from us as the enemy even when acceptance and tolerance are difficult.
Prayers for all people afflicted with addictions - including those beginning the road to their recovery, and those striving to maintain it.
